Successful Blogging Tips
I am writing this post at 10:21 PM after a long, fun day of work.
I dig what I do.
But sometimes I feel tired. Worn out. De-energized.
What can I do in those moments?
If I am fully exhausted, I take a break. But if I feel a little pull to keep going, I keep giving.
All successful bloggers I follow and learn from are serial givers. Beings who generously give with a servant’s heart. Bloggers who help, give away content for free, give away premium content for pay, assist, pull folks up, stay up late responding to emails, waking early to check emails, setting aside time to create Facebook Live videos and Periscope videos.
All of my blogging success has been built on giving. Serving. Running a heart centered blog.
This is the 1 ultimate tip for successful blogging: giving.
This is the 3rd guest post I am writing today. I also created a 20 minute Facebook Live and Periscope video. I uploaded 1 video to YouTube. I published a post on Blogging From Paradise.
I spend 30 minutes on Quora answering questions today. My answers also reached 100,000 views on Quora today. Neat by-product of giving.
I spent 30 minutes on The Warrior Forum answering questions.
I read and commented on 20 plus blogs today, giving freely, adding value to blog posts.
Giving, giving, giving.
I could probably be in bed now, settling in, reading novels, relaxing. But I want to keep giving. I want to submit this post to Jitendra so he can publish this guest post on his blog. So he can give to his audience.
The more I give the more I get. The more money I make. The more success I see. Because when you give freely, persistently, you receive easily. No way around it.
Hyper successful bloggers are serial givers. Obsessed with giving. Which is exactly why they get so much money, traffic and list subscribers. Their persistent giving made it so.
Successes in all walks of life are givers. Thinking of ways to improve their skills, to solve problems and to build strong connections that lead to more giving. The more you give, the more of an opportunity you have to give to an increasing number of people.
Before you ask how you can *get* more blog traffic or sales, catch yourself.
Ask yourself how you can *give* more service. How can you be more useful? How can you develop your blogging skills through persistent practice? How can you promote other bloggers, feature other bloggers or interview other bloggers?
Look at how Jitendra generously offered his blog up for this guest posting opportunity. He is giving freely by following up on my offer to write a guest post and I am giving freely by offering my energy and knowledge to help his community.
Examples of Giving
- Write 1000 words daily just for practice in a Word document
- Comment on 5 to 10 top blogs in your niche; write 2-4 paragraph, personalized, valuable comments
- Write and submit 2-4 guest posts this week
- Write and publish 1-2 blog posts this week on your blog
- Interview bloggers in your niche
- Promote other bloggers freely through social media
- Email other bloggers asking how you can help them
Think of ways to give, to serve, to help and to assist. Be generous. Be a giver. Be a servant.
