How to find network security key? Network security key is the password that authenticate with the home network. To create secure connection with Wi-Fi router, you have to provide secure key that authorized you to access network. The key stored in the wireless router and all device need you want to connect with network need same network key. As we said above, network security key is Wi-Fi password that used to authentic network and this security key used for every device which you want to access. When you entered security key it keep saved and used for reconnecting the device. The network administrator is setting up the security key on the wireless router.

How to Find Your Network Security Key?

You can easily find security key from the network setting on computer or laptop which already connected with Wi-Fi.

Windows 7

1. First, go to the Start button and click on Control Panel
2. There is a “View network status and tasks” below the “Network and Internet.”
3. Now click on “Manage Wireless Networks” and locate your wireless network
4. Do right-click on your wireless network and go to the Properties
5. Go to the Security tab
6. Click on check the box that says “Show characters” to see the password
7. Now your Network security key visible. You can use this same key to connecting other devices to your network.

Windows 10

1 Go to Start Windows logo from the left bottom side.
2. Now select Settings, you will find Network & Internet option. Click on it.
3: Now choose the network you want to connect and click on Connect.
4: Now go to the search box in the taskbar and enter view network connections. You will see search results, select View network connections.
5: In Network Connections, press right-clicks on the network name and click on Wireless Properties.
6: Click on check box show characters on the Security tab.

You can see the password for the wireless network which displayed in the Network security key field.

Mac OS

1: There is “Go” button on the top of the screen, click on that.
2: After that, you need to select “Utilities”
3: Now double click on “Keychain Access” and then select your network from the list.
4: You will see black dot in the box, to see the character click on “Show password”. You may have to enter your Mac’s Administrator password and then click “Allow” to do this.
5: Now you can see security key. If you want to connect more device to your network, then you can use this security key.

Find the Security Key in the Router

If you are not currently connected to your network, you have to find security key on your desired router. The security key will be placed in your wireless security setting. Are you using WPA2 encryption on your network? Your nested key is within the router. There is list of the router, but they are all different from each other. I am sharing below some specific instructions for all different router.
