Mobile apps often handle sensitive information such as a person’s personal data including their bank account information, credit card details, personally identifiable information (PII), social security numbers, and more.
If an attacker exploits mobile app security vulnerabilities, they could get their hands on the personal data of users and potentially abuse corporate data of an organization. In fact, nearly 172 high-risk mobile apps were found on Google Play with more than 330 million downloads.
